Separate Marketing Subdomain
To ensure that critical customer-specific emails are not affected by promotional emails, we recommend separating your domain's IPs according to function. This will help optimize mail delivery.
A domain is unique to your website, such as ycloud.com. A subdomain is a subsection of the larger domain, identified by a prefix.
Subdomains have a separate reputation from parent domains. This means that if someone from your company accidentally sends out a marketing email without an unsubscribe link, and a recipient complains, the reputation of your primary domain will stay intact.
For example, you can use the following subdomains for different functions:
- [email protected] for marketing emails
- [email protected] for transactional emails such as password resets and order confirmations.
