# Send emails via API

> Send transactional or notification emails through the YCloud API.

Before you send an email, add and activate your sender domain in YCloud. Then store your API key securely and send a `POST` request to `/v2/emails`.

The API supports HTML and plain-text content, multiple recipients, attachments, personalization variables, and delivery-status webhooks.
