The Knowledge page lets your AI Agent learn from documents, web pages, and question-and-answer pairs. You can also upload attachments that the AI Agent can send to users without learning from or splitting the file.
Knowledge is shared by all versions of the AI Agent and updates in real time.

Add knowledge

  1. Open your AI Agent and select Knowledge.
  2. Click Add knowledge.
  3. Select one of the following knowledge types, then click Next:
    • Document: The AI Agent parses, chunks, and indexes the file so it can answer questions from the content.
    • Online data: The AI Agent crawls web pages and uses the retrieved content as a knowledge source.
    • Q&A: The AI Agent follows a prepared answer for predictable questions.
    • Attachment: The AI Agent sends the original file when appropriate. It does not learn from or split the file.
  4. Complete the setup for the selected type.

Select Add knowledge to choose a document, website, Q&A pair, or attachment.

Add a document

  1. Select Document, then click Next.
  2. Drag a file into the upload area or click Upload to choose a file.
  3. After the file finishes uploading, click Create.

Choose Upload or drag a supported document into the upload area.

The maximum file size is 15 MB. Supported formats are:
  • TXT, MD, MARKDOWN
  • PDF
  • HTML, HTM
  • XLSX, XLS, CSV
  • DOC, DOCX
The AI Agent can recognize text in images embedded in PDF files. Images embedded in other document formats are not supported.

Add online data

  1. Select Online data, then click Next.
  2. Under Crawl Depth, choose:
    • Only this URL to crawl only the URL you enter.
    • Include subpages to crawl the URL and its subpages.
  3. Under Update Frequency, choose Do Not Auto-Update, Update every 3 days, Update every 7 days, or Update every 30 days.
  4. Enter the website URL. To add more URLs in the same operation, click Add more.
  5. Click Create to start crawling.

Set the crawl depth and refresh frequency before adding your website URL.

After an online knowledge source is created, its action menu also lets you preview the crawled page, run a manual update, or change its update settings.

Add a Q&A pair

  1. Select Q&A, then click Next.
  2. Enter the expected user question in Question.
  3. Enter the response the AI Agent should provide in Answer.
  4. Click Create.

Enter the expected question and the prepared answer, then select Create.

Each question and answer can contain up to 1,024 characters.

Add an attachment

Use an attachment when you want the AI Agent to send a complete file to users, such as a product catalog, image, or video. Attachment content is not parsed, chunked, or used to answer questions.
  1. Select Attachment, then click Next.
  2. Click Upload file and choose a supported file.
  3. Optionally enter a Display name. If you leave it blank, the original file name is used. The display name can contain up to 255 characters.
  4. Enter a Content description that explains when the AI Agent should send the file. The description can contain up to 1,024 characters.
  5. Click Create.

Manage knowledge

The Knowledge list shows each item’s name, description, type, last updated time, status, and available actions.
  • Use Search by name or url to find a specific item.
  • Use the Type, Last Updated, and Status filters to narrow the list.
  • Turn the status switch on to make an item Used, or off to make it Unused.
  • Open an item’s action menu to preview, update, change settings, or delete it. Available actions depend on the knowledge type.
  • Select one or more items with the checkboxes to delete them in bulk.
Use the Preview panel on the right side of the page to test how the AI Agent responds after your knowledge is ready.
