Connect your business number to YCloud to handle conversations in Inbox, automate common questions with Agents, or send verification codes and order updates from your systems. Choose the right connection method for your number, then test sending and receiving.

Prepare your account and business information

1. Choose your connection method

Do not apply Business app coexistence steps to a personal WhatsApp number. Review Business phone numbers before changing its registration.

2. Complete the selected connection

WhatsApp accounts in YCloud, highlighting Create Channel.

Select Create Channel to choose a connection method. The accounts shown are demonstration assets.

New number
  1. Sign in to YCloud, open WhatsApp accounts, and start Business Platform onboarding.
  2. Sign in to the authorized Facebook account in Meta’s popup and confirm the account before continuing.
  3. Select the existing business portfolio or provide business information to create one. Reuse the correct existing assets to avoid duplicates.
  4. Create or select the WABA. Enter its internal name, the number’s customer-facing display name, and business category.
  5. Enter the number and complete the offered SMS or voice verification. Select Finish to return to YCloud. If the number is not registered yet, continue with Add numbers.
  6. Check the WABA, number, and connection status in WhatsApp accounts. See the Embedded Signup guide for the complete screens.
Provider migration Follow the migration guide to prepare the destination WABA, check display-name review and two-step verification requirements, and arrange the operational cutover. Ordinary number migration does not import the previous provider’s chat history into YCloud; preserve the records you need first. After migration, check the number and test templates and replies. Use the dedicated coexistence migration flow for a coexistence number. Business app coexistence The current onboarding guide offers Connect with Facebook and Connect by QR code. The Facebook route selects or creates a portfolio. The QR-code route does not require Facebook login or portfolio creation during connection. Choose the offered method, enter your business information and app number, authorize by scanning with the Business app on the primary phone, and decide whether to share history. QR-code connection does not exempt you from subsequent business verification. If you have no website, use the offered no-website option. If you authorize history sharing, keep the app open until synchronization finishes before checking new Inbox messages. Review the guide for eligibility and synchronization coverage.

3. Check business verification and sending readiness

Business verification establishes the organization and its connection to the assets. When required:
  1. Select the portfolio that owns the WABA and confirm the operator has the required control.
  2. Open Meta’s offered verification flow, such as Security Center or the relevant product flow.
  3. Check the legal name, address, contact details, and website. Supply accepted documents and complete the offered connection-verification method.
  4. Check the actual review status and requests for additional evidence. A verified status in another portfolio does not verify this one.
A utility bill’s suitability depends on the field and current requirements; it is not a general substitute for proof of the legal business name. See Business verification. Review the number profile, messaging limits, and billing. Verification does not automatically grant a badge or unlimited sending.

4. Test before choosing a workflow

Use an approved template to send a test message to a consenting test recipient. Check the sender, language, and content. Ask the recipient to reply and confirm the reply reaches Inbox or your receiver. Inspect Message logs. If number verification fails, check the country code and SMS or voice reception, then follow the displayed retry instructions. An already-registered error requires identifying whether the number belongs to an app, provider, or your current assets before changing it. Preserve the error and contact YCloud Support when needed. Continue with verification codes, utility updates, CTWA, marketing, or customer support.
