Payment Freeze and Unfreeze Policy

We will deduct or unfreeze the corresponding amount of funds based on the following criteria:


When is the payment frozen?

When you submit a message-sending request, YCloud will estimate the amount of money that will be consumed and freeze this amount from your account balance before sending. This operation is to ensure that the submitted message can be sent successfully.


When is the payment unfrozen?

When message processing is completed, YCloud will deduct or unfreeze the corresponding amount of funds for each frozen message. The detailed explanation of message processing completion is as follows:


SMS/Email/Voice Code

  • We will deduct this part of the amount when the message is successfully sent from YCloud.
  • If the message has not been sent from YCloud, we will unfreeze the amount for this message.

WhatsApp

  • We will deduct the amount when the message is successfully delivered or read.
  • If the message fails to send, we will unfreeze the amount.
  • If the message is in processing status, the amount will remain frozen. If the processing status lasts for 30 days, the amount will be automatically unfrozen.



    e.g.
  1. When a Campaign schedules an SMS activity estimated to consume $10, YCloud will freeze this amount from your account balance before sending it out. When the scheduled time arrives, and the SMS is delivered, the amount is deducted. However, if the Campaign cancels before the SMS is sent, we will unfreeze the amount.

  2. When a WhatsApp message is sent to the US, estimated to cost $1, YCloud will freeze this amount in advance. However, if the message is stuck in the processing state, the amount will be frozen until 30 days have passed, after which it will be automatically unfrozen. The amount will be deducted when the message is delivered, but if the message fails to be delivered, the amount will be unfrozen.

我们会根据以下标准扣除或解冻相应的资金:


什么时候冻结资金?

当您提交消息发送请求时,YCloud会预估消耗的金额,并在发送之前从您的账户余额中冻结这部分金额。该操作是为了确保已经提交上来的消息能够成功发出。


什么时候解冻资金?

当消息处理完成时,YCloud会扣除或者解冻每条消息冻结的资金。消息处理完成的详细解释为:



SMS/Email/Voice Code:

  • 当消息成功从YCloud发出后我们扣除这部分金额。
  • 当消息未从YCloud发出,我们会解冻这笔消息的金额。

WhatsApp:

  • 当消息成功送达时(delivered or read)时进行扣除。
  • 当消息发送失败时进行解冻(failed)。
  • 当消息一直持续processing的时候,金额会一直处于冻结状态。如果processing状态持续30天,金额会自动解冻。



    举例
    1、Campaign提交一个sms的定时活动,预计消耗10美元。我们会从余额中冻结10美元。当到达发送时间,短信被下发时,金额扣除。若这个活动在发送前取消,我们会进行解冻。

2、发送了一个美国的WhatsApp消息,预计消耗10美元。我们会预先冻结10美元。

  ①若消息下发后这条消息一直出于processing状态,消息就会一直被冻结住,直到30天后自动解除。

  ②若消息在30天内到达或已读,会扣除金额

  ③若消息在30天内失败,会解冻金额。
